The Other House

Just wanted to say thank you very much for having us stay at The Other House! We had a really lovely time and the place was perfect. Will be sure to recommend to our friends when they visit the Cotswolds next :)

The Other House has been the perfect weekend retreat. The interior is tastefully decorated and the garden is a relaxing space. The property is well situated with plenty of good pubs and scenic walks nearby. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break in the Cotswolds.

A beautiful cosy place for anyone looking to spend time in Cotswolds. One of the most well stock Airbnb’s - had everything from all kitchen utensils, cutlery to butter, coffee, eggs, bread waiting for us. The garden is immaculate and much larger than appears in the photo. Most of all, the hosts (Melanie and Adrien) were very kind and responsive. Loved our stay there. Thank you for hosting us!

Wonderfully cosy cottage in a love and quiet village. Great place to explore the Cotswolds from, or just to lounge around and enjoy the beautiful surrounds.

We just wanted to let you know how very much we enjoyed staying in your beautiful apartment over this past weekend. Of course the weather was perfect, but that just made it ideal for enjoying such a beautiful flat and also your lovely garden. We also enjoyed a lovely roundabout walk to and from the Green Dragon pub, and visiting the amazing Norman church in the village. Thank you again, we do hope we will be able to visit again in the future.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at The Other House - we only wish we'd had a few more days! Mel was the perfect host, the space was stunning and the location was ideal for exploring the Cotswolds. Everything was beautifully designed and furnished, the place was spotless, and the private garden was like an oasis. Mel gave us lots of helpful recommendations - of which The Bell at Sapperton was our absolute favourite. We loved it, and would love to return - thank you!

A warm welcome from Melanie, our hostess, in a charming setting! We who adore authentic old buildings; everything has been done with the best taste and with comfort in mind (super bedding, kitchen equipment etc). The place is light and you feel good and at home there. I recommend to all lovers of English countryside!

We loved our stay at The Other House, it was really comfortable and well thought out. It is the perfect place to explore the Cotswolds, equidistant from both Cirencester and Cheltenham, and with gorgeous walks from the door to the local pub and farm shop, and hills beyond.

We stayed here for 2 nights during the Festival. Our hosts were the most helpful. Even to the point of dropping us into town when they were no taxis anywhere so we could enjoy our days racing without having to drive. The Other House is a stunning get away, I only wish we had time to enjoy it but we’re out so much. Would love to go back again. Thank you so much,

I could see straight away why Melanie and Adrian chose to make Elkstone home. Tucked deep in the peace of the Cotswolds, it's still only a hop to Ciren or Cheltenham and there's a proper local pub down the road. Melanie is elegant and efficient, and has created a space of such serenity: musing on the garden views from the peaceful, minimalist surroundings of The Other House soothes the soul.
