The Willows Cottage

We love this lovely comfortable quirky cottage. We take our dog, and it's a perfect location as it is immediately adjacent to the nature reserve for early morning and late afternoon walks. The location is ideal for National Trust properties of Sheringham, Fellbrigg Hall; and lovely walks at Blakeney and beaches close to Horsey Pump.We return every year and just love it.

We had a lovely time in The Willows. The cottage had every possible comfort that we needed.....in a superb quiet location. There are peaceful walking trails opposite the cottage. The area is great for day trips...eg Sandringham and its fantastic gardens, Cromer, and so many historic towns and attractive beaches

Our second stay at this delightful cottage was a joy - apart from stormy weather! Warm and comfortable - very well-appointed with almost everything one needs provided. Our dog, normally a bit unsettled in new places, settled in very quickly. The door lintel from the main bedroom to the lavatory is very low but one soon learns not to bang one's head and it avoids stumbling downstairs to the main bathroom at night. The revamped garden is now safe for our dog to play outside unsupervised. A very special holiday cottage.

This was out third stay at The Willows. A lovely, comfortable and relaxed place to be and there is so much to do in the area. It is fabulous for dog walks and beaches but there are also some lovely towns and local restaurants to visit. The cottage itself is well equipped and well kept, with everything that you need and a secure outside area. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We enjoyed a fabulous week at The Willows, comfortable, well equipped and charmingly decorated throughout with special places inside and out to sit and relax. Perfect for dog (and people!) walks at the nature reserve and woods just over the road from the cottage, and lots of coastal and countryside visits within easy reach. Felbrigg Hall was a special favourite. The local pub with excellent food is a short walk away.

We had a lovely stay at The Willows! The cottage is great with lovely comfy beds, a cosy sitting room and an enclosed front garden - wonderful for our two Westies! Great dog walking in the local area and the cottage provides easy driving access to all of north Norfolk’s coastal gems. We recommend Holt, Blakeney, Cley for visits with two local pubs on your doorstep and a Waitrose up the road!

A wonderful, relaxing, comfortable stay, fantastic base for exploring the beautiful coast and a very well equipped cottage.

The cottage was great, loved the big wood burner and interior layout. Its a calm comfortable cottage, perfect for a short or long stay. Very quite tranquil location with so much to see in the area. Exceptional gastro pubs nearby as well. We will stay again soon.

A lovely cottage comfortably furnished and ideally located for exploring north east Norfolk. We brought our 1 year old dog with us who was also very comfortable (in particular the enclosed garden and easy walks straight from the front door). Parking for one car on the premises is fine, but there's also further public car parking space opposite the cottage.

Very enjoyable stay at the Willows, everything was of good standard and the cottage was very clean and up to date. We especially enjoyed the peace and quiet in the evening sitting in the garden in the silence looking at stars in the cloudless sky and listening to the owls. Would certainly recommend a visit

We had a lovely stay at The Willows which was clean and comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable, our 3 year old particularly loved her room and slept better than she had for the previous 3 years! It's in a lovely quiet village with a couple of pubs and nice walks for dogs. Our daughter loved the two staircases, but may be slightly tricky with younger children or older people as they are quite steep. We are tall and found the ceilings a little low in places. Brilliantly dog friendly and nice little garden too.

Lovely position for walks, day trips and the pub. Great accommodation, with all amenities and comfortable bed.

This was our second stay at The Willows and we loved it just as much as the previous time. The cottage is really comfortable, well-kept and well-equipped with lots of charm. Dealing with the owners was very easy. The location is excellent - far enough away from other houses to feel very private but with lovely walks literally on the doorstep, a couple of pubs in walking distance, a short drive to the nearest Waitrose and an easy drive to lots of beaches and other points of interest. Our dogs loved it there too - all well fenced in so very safe! We have already booked to go again!

Our stay at The Willows was a holiday I will always treasure! A beautiful house both inside and out, very well kept, all the utensils and equipment you need and beautifully decorated. We stayed for a week with our dog so we went on plenty of local walks which were beautiful. The location was perfect, only minutes to get to Cromer where there are shops and restaurants, and the beach was just round the corner. If I could give it 100 out of 10 then I would, I can’t wait to go back!!

We have stayed at the Willows several times and it is a delight whatever the season. Close to beaches, lots of lovely walks (bring wellies in winter) then come home and light the wood burner. The comfortable beds guarantee a great sleep and the kitchen is well equipped. Make this your happy place !

We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable quirky cottage. The rooms are spacious and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed the large wood burner which kept the cottage very warm. It is well situated adjacent to a nature reserve and we explored Blakeney (which we know well) and Horsey and Winterton-by-Sea for delicious crab sandwiches, and lovely beach walks. We have booked again for May (covid restrictions willing) and look forward to spending time here in a different season.

Our first experience of renting a property in the UK was an unqualified success. The cottage was very clean and tidy on arrival. Almost everything that one could wish for was supplied - from luxurious bedlinen on a very comfortable bed to salt, pepper, olive oil etc. - and a bottle of very good Argentinian Malbec to welcome us. Despite the quirky layout, everything had been carefully thought out so as to provide us with the perfect home from home for a very happy stay. Our 2 year old French Bulldog loved it too. Glorious country and seaside walks all round. Wonderful. We'll be back!

We loved our stay at The Willows. It's much more spacious than many traditional cottages in this part of the world, and the quirky layout allowed for many games of hide and seek! The garden, nature reserve and nearby train station are big pluses, and the location in general is perfect for exploring north Norfolk. Lots of great tips in the visitor book led us to discover new beaches and villages. Don't miss seal-spotting at Horsey.

We had a lovely summer holiday at the Willows with our children (7 and 8). Well-situated for both the North Norfolk coast with its lovely beaches, and the Broads for boating, the cottage is a great base for exploring the area. Highlight of the cottage was the comfiest double bed we’d ever slept in (we bought a new bed to replicate it when we got home!), and while the children’s room was up its own staircase the two bedrooms are joined by a ‘secret passage’ upstairs which gave the children hours of fun (and an upstairs loo between the bedrooms). Nice walks out from the house too. A great find.

We had a fantastic time at The Willows. After five months in lockdown this holiday was a real tonic. The cottage was reassuringly clean and is in a wonderful location. The nature reserve across the road became our daily routine. Beautiful sandy beaches and National Trust properties are all within a 20 minute drive so we were never short of things to do. The Rose and Crown pub is a short walk through the village and was welcoming, very Covid secure and served delicious food. We had several meals there. If we weren't taking my mother on holiday with us this year we'd be back like a shot!
