The setting and views at Badan Mhugaidh are stunning. The attention to detail that Jan and Nigel have given, both in the house and the landscape around the property made our stay a very memorable experience. Local walks are delightful and varied. We're so pleased to have had this introduction to such a beautiful part of Scotland.

Just returned from a wonderful break in excellent, very well-appointed and well thought through accommodation which is ideally located to explore the Torridon area. Nigel & Jan are excellent hosts and their accommodation is perfectly situated with wonderful views, trails and walks on the doorstep. Cannot recommend more highly.

Ideal location for access to mountains and lochs. Property well equipped and designed to cover all requirements for an outdoors holiday. Also, the views are amazing.

Just what was needed after months of Lockdown! A wonderful remote location, walks from the door, unsurpassable views, many places of interest to visit by car. To cap it all, Nigel and Jan, have designed perfect accommodation, filled with all the comforts you need. They are perfect hosts, a warm welcome, then quietly in the background, there if you need anything. Thank you both.

A warm welcome from Nigel and Jan. We will stay again just for the tap water. Seriously best tap water we have ever had. Because of their location and the fantastic views you could expect they would skimp a little on amenities. But they did not. The best beds we have slept on possibly ever. We will be purchasing the same model for our own home. And the towels. The only towels we have used in the UK that do not need the softening power of a tumble dryer. We have ordered the towels. Then there is the wood burner. We bought one. This is the perfect place to re-discover life. La dolce vita

We had a lovely stay at Badan Mhugaidh. The setting of the two cottages is spectacular and they are within easy reach of a number of other, wonderful locations. We had typical West Coast weather for March so were grateful for the very comfortable, cosy accommodation. Nigel and Jan were very thoughtful hosts with a wealth of local knowledge. We would love to go back.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Nigel & Jan’s at a time of year when you need to know that your accommodation is going to be cosy, well-appointed & luxurious. Badan Mhugaidh certainly ticked all these boxes. The house itself is situated in such a way that the breathtaking scenery can be enjoyed from every room. We were able to walk straight from the house on hikes & bike rides of varying difficulty so all members of the family were happy. Thank you Nigel & Jan for making our stay a memorable one.

Although we are reluctant to leave a review of this magical place as we would like to keep it to ourselves. We know that Jan and Nigel need to run their business 😊 It’s wonderful, has everything you need to relax and explore this beautiful area. We loved it and it’s so much better than a hotel.

An absolutely magical place with an astounding attention to detail which made the stay simply perfect. Nigel and Jan were lovely and unobtrusive hosts, sharing great restaurant recommendations and making sure my fire was lit in the evenings. The cottage was perfect for a quiet weekend off the grid, walking in nature, taking long baths and reading in front of the fire. I will be returning! Thank you.

My husband and I spent a week at Badan Mhugaidh this September, as our honeymoon. We couldn't have been happier, everything about the cottage and the setting is perfect. The cottage is kitted out both stylishly and for comfort too, (infact the bed was so comfortable that we've just bought the very same mattress topper for our bed at home!). The views from the cottage are breathtaking, looking directly out across the loch. Nigel + Jan are gracious, unobtrusive, hosts. A beautiful place, thoroughly recommended.

The cottage is kitted out both stylishly and for comfort too. The views from the cottage are breathtaking, whatever the weather the view across the loch is food for your soul. One morning we even saw an otter down on the shore line below the cottage. You're spoilt for choice with many wonderful walks, and drives, nearby cafes and pubs for lunch or dinner.

What a magical time we spent at Badan Mhugaidh in your lovely cottage. Everything was of such a high standard and so beautifully furnished absolutely 5*. The bedrooms were so comfortable with the lovely beds and linen, and the bathrooms perfect. We were in no rush to go out either in the daytime as the views from the cottage were both mesmerizing and memorable. And indeed we had supper at “home” on two evenings and lit the woodburner and had everything we needed in the well equipped kitchen. We really do hope to return for another magical holiday of wonderful views...
