Glan Honddu

What a wonderful way to spend Autumn in Wales: a week at Glann Honddu Estate. Lulu was very welcoming and helpful. Fresh flowers and herbs from the garden, homemade bread and jam, a large share of the hens' produce (never tasted such good eggs!). The living room is cosy with the fireplace (and plenty of wood). The bed was comfortable, and the shower (including lovely organic Goodwash Products) was a delight. All in all: a great stay. We are Lulu and Nicholas very thankful and hope to be back sometime.

Glan Honddu is a delightful place to stay. The cottage is well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable break and with many thoughtful extra touches such as vases of beautiful flowers in each room and the welcoming provision of fresh eggs, freshly home baked bread and other goodies. We much appreciated the warm welcome as well as the beautiful landscape all around within easy reach of the town of Brecon and a wide range of sights, walks and activities in the National Park, Black Mountains and surrounding countryside.

A delightful cottage close to the Brecon Beacons and to Hay-On-Wye where we were visiting the festival. The cottage was very clean and well-equipped. It was cosy with the wood-burning stove and the host, Lulu, was very welcoming. There were vases of fresh flowers and some local food products when we arrived. It is a good location for walking and the festival. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful place to stay. Every aspect of the cottage was perfect and made for such a relaxing experience, everything you might need is provided and the welcome pack really was special. The inside is furnished so beautifully and everything is obviously done to a very high standard. The host was so friendly and welcoming, a wealth of knowledge for local walks - nothing was too much trouble if we asked of it. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back ☺️

A fabulous stay what a beautiful location and cottage every detail of the cottage carefully considered from stunning flowers from the garden down to the free range eggs that were a perfect addition. The host Lulu was very welcoming and knowledgable, property is quiet yet well located to visit the Brecons. A lovely restful stay.

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lodge! From the tastefully furnished bedrooms, to the high quality kitchenware and vases of freshly-cut flowers - this was a delight to return to after a day’s exploring in the hills or nearby Hay on Wye.

The lodge is a small unexpected delight. Its functional stone exterior is 200 years old and hides wonderfully adapted living rooms and bedrooms, decorated with taste. The style of the inside is a wonderful counterpoint to the gruff protective outside. All around is walking country on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, and a feast of exploration within the hills of mid-Wales. You have it all here.
