The Experience
The open-plan living area has lots of original features, painted stone, wooden beams and plenty of character with deep-set windows, wooden shutters, tailor-made doors and a curved staircase in solid oak. Cosy up on a large sofa or in one of the reading chairs and enjoy the birdsong if it’s dull, or on balmy days stretch out on sun loungers on your own terrace or in the grassy orchard.
The kitchen is sleek, modern and well-equipped and you’ll find local cider, pancakes and good jams – enough for a snack on the evening you arrive. Upstairs is a simple bedroom with a sloping ceiling and the bed under the highest point – it feels like a little hideaway. The en suite shower room is super shiny and the loo is hidden behind a wall – there’s an extra loo downstairs.
Book a slot in the hot tub on the decking, admire the potager with soft fruits, ask Jean-Pierre to accompany you to the Saturday market in Morlaix or organise a weekly permit to fish in the trout lake.

Location
The neighbourhood
This does feel very rural. Walking routes are bountiful – you can stroll to Lake Drennec in less than 10 minutes, or head to Huelgoat for hikes through an enchanted forest with enormous boulders. The nearest restaurant is 10 minutes by car – Restaurant au Lac, open in the holidays. At Morlaix (20 mins) you'll find the market and several types of restaurants. Brest and the coast is half an hour.
Local points of interest from Jean-Pierre Descourt
- Beyond their character and high-end standing, the Monts d'Arrée cottages also shine with their location, ideal for exploring the Armorique Regional Natural Park and Finistère.
- The Armorique Regional Natural Park is a vast territory made up of the Iroise Sea islands, the Crozon Peninsula, the Aulne Maritime, and the Monts d'Arrée.
- The Domaine de Linguinou is precisely located at the heart of this park, at the foot of the Monts d'Arrée.
- Just 10 minutes' walk away from the estate, Lake Drennec is a small paradise for children, but also for fishermen!
- Also within the Armorique Regional Natural Park, the mysterious forest of Huelgoat is quite worth the trip.
- Located in the city center of Landerneau, in the former Capuchin monastery, the Fonds Hélène and Édouard Leclerc for culture have become, in a few years, a must-visit cultural spot in Finistère.

Introducing
Jean-Pierre Descourt
Jean-Pierre and Anne-Marie are both medics. The estate has been in Anne-Marie's family since 1630, and between 2011 and 2016 they renovated all the old buildings into holiday homes. They've thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. They live nearby and are available should you need them.
The Little House has been renovated with refined taste, keeping all the authentic charm of an old farmhouse cottage with its textured stone walls and solid oak beams, whilst also offering space, contemporary comfort and luxurious touches. Linger in your own little garden and private decking area, stretch out on the generous sofa, and unwind in the tranquil Breton countryside.
