La Lévrière

We had a lovely stay at La Lévrière. After a long day of travelling, we received a warm welcome from Margaux and enjoyed relaxing in the garden. Our dinner was fantastic, with everything grown in the garden and we loved our characterful room. We just wish we could have stayed for longer.

My son, Christopher, and I have just returned home following a splendid stay with Margeaux, her husband and their lovely friendly dog, Rio. Margeaux and her husband's home is situated in a delightful, beautifully conserved Normandy village where peace and quiet reign supreme. Our accommodation was most comfortable in a period property set in an idyllic setting of garden, fields and with a river flowing through. Margeaux's breakfasts were absolutely delicious and plentiful. Margeaux is absolutely charming and helpful in every way. A lovely, relaxing, visit and we hope to return next year.

Beautiful accommodation in rural surroundings. Our rooms looked over the delightful garden & river. Margaux is a wonderful host - her breakfasts & evening meals were outstanding. We are already planning a return visit!

We have visited La Levriere, I believe, 7 times - need we say more? The tranquilty of the garden, the comfort and slight quirkiness of the rooms and the hospitality of the hosts are all reasons for us to hope we can make it back to this lovely spot many more times.

Wonderful pituresque and very quiet location. Beautiful walks on the doorstep, many lovely villages within easy driving distance. Accommodation and hospitality, including very good breakfast and evening meal, all first class. Margaux is an excellent host, very friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more. Would love to return one day.

Such a beautiful place….peace and tranquillity…. We had the most wonderful time and I only wish we could have stayed longer…. Margaux is a charming and lovely host… welcoming us on our arrival… producing a delicious meal in the evening…. and then a wonderful breakfast… everything homemade and freshly baked… our room was lovely… with beautiful views over their garden… immaculately clean and attention to detail… thank you so much for making us so welcome… I hope it won’t be long until we return to your lovely lovely home….

We had an absolutely delightful stay at La Lévrière and would have loved to stay longer. The setting is exquisite - a beautiful and peaceful garden - and our hosts Margaux and David were charming and welcoming. The room was comfortable while retaining its period charm. We had a delicious evening meal and breakfast - Margaux is a brillient cook - and enjoyed meeting the other guests in the table d'hôte format. 100% recommended.

After a return visit our impressions remain the same, this is a delightful place to relax for a few days. The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and cool considering the temperature outside. Breakfast was delicious as usual with a varied selection of homemade and locally-sourced produce. The extensive garden is at the guests' disposal with plenty of room for children and even the chance to swim in the little river if you are brave enough!

We absolutely loved staying at la Lévrière. The rooms were tasteful and clean, the breakfasts delicious with home made jams and breads and local honey and cheeses. The hosts were warm and relaxed and nothing was too much trouble. And we loved being able to use the little kitchenette and sitting room for evening supper when we didn’t want to go out for dinner. We highly recommend this home in its stunning country location.

Having stayed here several times with the previous owners, we were hoping for a smooth transition. We had nothing to worry about. Margaux and David were excellent hosts and made us feel extremely welcome. The room was slightly changed but just as pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and always served with a cheery greeting and smile. We will definitely return.
