Navona Charming Flat

This is indeed a charming flat in a splendid position tucked in a side street in a pretty part of the city. Carved out of a corner of a palazzo courtyard behind a grand doorway off the street it was clean, loved and well equipped, and incredibly quiet at night. We chose to eat out as there were so many tempting local cafes and restaurants to choose from, but the kitchen had everything you might need and a market not far away if you wanted to rustle up more than a coffee. Lovely secret lodgings for our four days in Roma.

This little apartment was a highlight of our Rome visit. Andrea welcomed us, helped us with bus timetables, saw us incidentally during the week (which felt really nice, that the host was a local) and met with us as we left (he had ordered a taxi for us). The flat was modern, comfortable, clean, safe, neat with everything we needed, all in a 600-yr-old building. We loved its location, close to a genuine precinct, with supermarket, hardware, baker, food market, families out with kids and dogs. We felt like locals!

The Navona Charming Flat is a delightful self-contained retreat from the hustle and bustle of central Rome. It has all the facilities one could desire in a compact layout including a well appointed kitchen area and a bathroom on both floors. The very comfortable double bed is situated on a mezzanine floor overlooking the main sitting room and there is plenty of room to store everything from your suitcase. The location is ideal, a few minutes from the very popular Piazza Navona. Most of the well known locations in Rome are within easy walking distance but there are taxis in abundance.

Navona Charming Flat was truly a wonderful choice for our week in Rome! Andrea is an excellent host, and the apartment is indeed charming. The king size bed in the upstairs loft was very comfortable, and it was lovely having 2 full bathrooms. We loved the unusual, three-level bathroom upstairs. The washing machine does not include a dryer, but we were able to air dry our clothes within 36-48 hours. The shower in the downstairs bath was fantastic, excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. The location simply could not be better, central to everything. Everything was wonderful!

Navona Charming Flat was ideal for our family of 4. There was everything we needed for our four night stay in the flat and restaurants and shops including gelato shops close by. The flat is situated in wonderful cobbled streets in a central location for all the roman sights and we walked everywhere from here for three days. As you enter the courtyard via an imposing traditional wooden door the bustle of the nearby streets disappears and you have the best of both worlds.

Beautiful and stylish apartment in the heart of old Rome. You couldn't ask for a more perfect setting. Right in the middle of all the bustling, twisting old streets off Piazza Navona but perfectly quiet and private when you enter through huge old wooden doors into a "secret" courtyard where your apartment awaits. All the shopping you need is at your doorstep, be it for food, wine or luxuries. Just a perfect place for a Roman holiday! Andrea is an attentive host. Take advantage of him arranging your pick up and drop off at the airport. It's reasonably priced and seamless.

This is clean, well appointed and spacious with all the amenities we needed. Andrea was a fantastic host and was so helpful in arranging airport shuttle and making restaurant reservations for us. Our flight into Rome was seriously delayed and Andrea was so generous in staying up well past midnight to be there to check us in. Thank you Andrea!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this stylish apartment. Great use has been made of the space and it has everything you need to be comfortable.The location is perfect for exploring Rome on foot. There is a wonderful selection of restaurants, bars and shops in the locality and Andrea's recommendations are excellent. We hope to return soon.

The flat is right in the heart of the main cultural attractions as well as a range of great food shops and markets. For my money the local Carrefour is the best per square inch of any I have been to. There is a pasticerria opposite and good bakeries beyond the Campo dei Fiori. Where was I ? ..Yes very snug and well lit apartment with very comfortable bed and good kitchen equipment plus all Andrea's elegant family heirlooms. Plus two great quirky bathrooms. And then Andrea himself was very helpful and charming with lots of local knowledge. We had a good time.

We spent 5 days at this lovely apartment which began with the very highly recommended taxi transfer service arranged by Andrea.It was very reasonable and took us within yards of the apartment where we were met by Andrea. The apartment's location is fantastic with great proximity to all the major sights on foot. The apartment,as well as being very well appointed and comfortable, was very private and quiet even though as you stepped outside the exterior courtyard door, you are immediately plunged into a bustling but welcome neighbourhood. The apartment was pristine and is highly recommended.

Andrea and his wife Ludovica operate an exquisite, very well-appointed, quiet and secure Apartment in old Roma. The location is extremely good and close to vatican city and other attractions as well as the bus routes. My wife and I prefer self-catering and for that the modern kitchen was well-equipped. A good supermarket is situated a minute's walk away, as well as wine stores and restaurants. The guest book includes many eating recommendations including a couple of special ones found by us that provide a lot more than just pizza and pasta, at very affordable prices. We will stay again!

We have used Sawdays successfully on previous occasions and this time it was no different. Excellent, personalised attention from the owner and great surroundings, facilities and location. We stayed for 10 nights. Would definitely stay in this apartment again. Excellent value.

Perfect location in the heart of the old city, but quiet and secure. A clever combination of elegant old and state of the art modern. The apartment. is well served by local trattorias and shops, particularly the ice-cream shop just round the corner. You can discover most of central Rome on foot or catch the near by buses. (Find yourself a bus map) Andrea is a reliable, efficient and personable host, who also arranged our transfers to and from the airport, saving us a lot of hassle. Roger and I hope to return next year. Well worth the long flight from Australia!

Spent a wonderful week here in April.The very elegant apartment was spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed and within walking distance of many of Rome's major sights.Andrea the owner could not have been more helpful. He even arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport and was at the apartment to greet us when we arrived.It was a pleasure meeting him and having the use of his lovely property. Once again Sawdays delivered.
