Casale Volpe

This was our third stay with Kelda and Mike and it was as good or better than before - lots of laughs, amazing meals and a few treats too! If you like good design you will love the rooms in the fully reconstructed stone building - I could examine the details all day - and if you like a long lazy day by the salt water pool you can do that too. Forget about television or golf courses, this is the real country.

Second time we have stayed with Kelda & Mike, even better, had such a wonderful time and both had a very relaxing time. They are extremely welcoming and you feel at home straight away. The room is very well prepared for your arrival both Kelda & Mike welcome you into their home. It is clear they have created something special that they would expect when visiting somewhere and ensure your every need is met. If you want peace and quiet they will leave you alone to enjoy the place, but if you fancy a good chat then you know you will have fantastic conversations over dinner.

Kelda and Mike were wonderfully attentive and sociable hosts and we had a really fun 6 day stay with them. Their home is beautiful and very relaxing in the most peaceful location. Kelda's food is absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed eating together and chatting with a glass of wine. The local area has many interesting and beautiful villages, and of course there are endless lovely places to eat as well. We would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings!

Kelda and Mike very kindly accommodated us for a night as we drove south. The house is nestled in the hillside with beautiful views in every direction. It’s a comfortable home and we were made to feel incredibly welcome by Kelda when we arrived. In the evening she cooked us a superb meal and we had a lovely evening chatting and sharing stories. Both she and Mike are excellent hosts and we left feeling we’d made new friends. We will definitely be back - to stay longer next time!

Casale Volepe is located at the end of a country lane, it is peaceful, the air is clean and quiet and the view across Le Marche is stunning! And yet everything you need is close by, fabulous hilltop towns, including the magnificent Sibbilini mountains, genuine Italian restaurants, where you will find yourself dining with only locals! Kelda and Mike went out of their way to assist us with daily touring and restaurant suggestions, booking restaurants for us and ensuring that we knew how to get there. Breakfasts were all house made using fresh local farm ingredients.

Super comfortable room in a lovely house with beautiful views. Kelda's breakfasts and evening meals are really delicious and Kelda and Mike are very good company. The fact that they have made themselves part of the local community make their recommendations for restaurants and places to visit particularly useful.

We visited last year for 3 days and had such a wonderful experienced we returned again this year with a friend for 6 nights. Kelda and Mike are so welcoming and fun! The food is fresh from the hens/garden and superb. We love the secluded location, and the saltwater pool is rejuvenating. We hope to be back again soon.

There was a lot riding on this holiday, our 1st abroad since Summer 2019. We need not have worried Kelda & Mike made our stay with them unforgettable. They are the perfect hosts, so knowledgeable & passionate about incredible local restaurants & experiences. Always on hand to make bookings for us & share any special insights. Mike was brilliant with our teenage cycle fanatic taking him under his wing on some phenomenal road rides bringing him back safely full of excitement about their adventures. Kelda is a genius with food, creating delicious dishes from scratch with produce from her garden

We were lucky enough to spend 4 nights at Casale Volpe, and were treated to a calm, incredible space, the most gracious hosts in Kelda and Mike, some of the most delicious homemade food we've ever tried, and beautiful surroundings. We ate, drank, swam, played with the cats and chickens, and explored the local area for which Casale Volpe is perfectly located. Kelda and Mike were kind enough to not only recommend places to visit and eat but also make reservations and direct us there. Va bene, we'll be back for sure.

Outstanding hosts, stylish and comfy rooms, beautiful surrounding. The menu we got cooked by Kelda was excellent. Mike as a cycling enthusiast was a perfect tourguide for my husband. We can only recommend this place.

Kelda and Mike have put together a truly splendid place to stay. They are wonderful hosts and have a fine eye for design. Kelda's delicious breakfasts include her fresh eggs and homemade bread and jams, and during our stay in September, the best tomatoes and figs. Their salt water pool overlooking the Marche hills left our skin feeling smooth and healthy. The farmhouse is impeccably designed with the highest quality materials and best-in-class comfort and was kept naturally cool. We also had great laughs with our hosts at the nearby bar in Servigliano! Highly recommended; we will be back

Kelda & Mike are lovely people. They take the best care of you with a nice sense of humour. A place to return to.

Our first trip to Marche and definitely not our last and this is 100% down to Kelda and Mike - great hosts, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable of the area, lots of ideas for where to go and where to go. We had a pizza night which was so relaxing and fun - and of course delicious, Kelda can cook! We simply felt at home, with friends - that's the best compliment I could give.

We had a delightful stay with Mike and Kelda at Casale Volpe. From the moment we arrived we felt truly relaxed in the beautiful landscape and lovely farmhouse. Breakfast with eggs from the hens that are kept in the grounds was excellent. We had a couple of excellent evening meals during our stay prepared by Kelda with ingredients from the garden. We especially enjoyed the pizzas baked in the wood fired oven with a glass of wine under the loggia, even in November! Looking forward to going back and sitting by their pool with a glass of wine admiring the view.

Kelda and Mike couldn't be more welcoming and their home more peaceful. They are a mine of information about anything to do with local food, and wine, the best cycle rides, walks and will spoil you on your return with a wonderful home-cooked meal. Perfect.
