The Experience
This elegant early 18th-century building has been completely restored and renovated and is located on a quiet street a few minutes’ walk from Ostuni’s whitewashed old town.
Matteo and Michele live on the top floor and will welcome you with delicious biscuits and espresso. You can help yourself to tea or coffee in the kitchen any time, or head up to the charming roof terrace with an aperitivo. Breakfast is served around a large antique table in the dining room and features top quality, locally-sourced ingredients.
Restaurants, shops and cafes are on your doorstep – stroll to the bar in front of the cathedral for a coffee and to watch the world go by. You’re in the heart of the foodie mecca of Valle d’Itria, 20 minutes from Torre Canne’s coastal dunes and 45 minutes from Alberobello, famous for its trulli, or traditional conical stone huts.

Location
The neighbourhood
Ostuni is known as the "white city" due to the colour of the stone used in almost every building. Walk along Corso Vittorio Emanuele for a wide view over the whole city and surrounding countryside, or to the lively city centre, which has cobblestone streets and lovely enclosed piazza dominated by the Cathedral. The Valle d'Itria is known for its food – there’s colourful fruit and vegetable market every Saturday and you’ll also find delis stocking local wines, burrata and olive oil. Other sights in the region include Marinafranca and Alberobello, the incredible Grotte di Castellana and Lecce’s baroque churches and architecture.
Introducing
Matteo Pacella
Warm and helpful Matteo runs the B&B with his partner Michele. Originally from Puglia, he worked in luxury hotels in Northern Italy and London and has tried to recreate a similar level of comfort and care in his B&B, but with added warmth and authenticity.
Stunis is a place of rare taste and elegance, my most sincere compliments to Matteo and Michele for their wonderful job ! The shining chandeliers, the choice of the colour themes all following the original antique tiles, the uncluttered style of furniture and decoration create an overall effect of real beauty. I'd love to spend a long weekend here OFF SEASON and go walk on the pristine beaches and explore some of the local historical masserie and enjoy pugliese gastronomy that I totally love
