The Experience

Follow a gravel road through vineyards and enter a hamlet of mellow stone houses linked by grass paths. The cypress trees rustle, the cicadas hum, a gentle breeze plays in the heat; arrive to perfect peace and a breathtaking panorama across vine-braided hills.

The apartments are in rustic buildings that were peasant dwellings centuries ago and have terraces offering fabulous views. B&B guests can use a sitting room with comfy sofas, books and games and rustle up light meals in the kitchen upstairs – a professional chef can come in to cook for you too. Breakfast is buffet-style and includes cake, jam, cold cuts, bread and cereal from small, local producers and there’s a beautiful ceramic fronted stove on which to cook eggs.

For restaurants there’s Lecchi in Chianti (9km), for food shops, Pianella (4km) and for sightseeing…where to start? Gaiole, Radda, Siena…this is the land of Chianti Classico and you’re in the very heart of it.

Reviews

The setting is lovely and the property is well placed for visits to the tourist attractions in southern Tuscany. I liked the well-maintained grounds, the good balance between traditional Tuscan and lighter more modern, comfortable furnishings. The owners are constantly looking to improve the services they offer and yet find the time to be available to guests.

An amazing place in the real Tuscany's heart !!!

Location

The neighbourhood

The property is accessed via the winding roads traditional to the Chianti area and is surrounded by vines and hills on one side and a forest area on the other. There are no other buildings interrupting the views. You will feel like you are in a charming, tiny village where all your needs are catered for. The nearest village, Monti, has a restaurant, a bar and small grocery store. Siena is 14km.

Local points of interest from Gabriele Corsi

  • Brolio Castle - An ancient castle with a magnificent view but also the oldest cellar of Chianti Classico
  • Gaiole in Chianti - The starting point of the famous vintage bicycle race Eroica
  • Pozze di Lecchi - Extraordinary natural swimming pools hidden between vineyards and woods
  • Parco Sculture del Chianti - An astonishing journey of modern art in a picturesque woodland

Introducing

Gabriele Corsi

The borgo (or hamlet) was originally purchased by Gabriele and his sister Stefania's grandfather in the early 1960s, and most of the buildings form the apartments and B&B rooms. They are both charming and helpful and run the property very efficiently while retaining a caring, family feel.
