The Experience

As peaceful as can be – this is the place to come if you need some rest and recuperation. Bedrooms, all on the first floor of the house, have a calming Scandi feel and come with sparkling en suite showers and your own balcony overlooking lush palm and olive trees.

Wake to a daily changing breakfast down in the covered loggia: fresh local fruits, chorizo, hams, cheeses and locally baked bread with homemade marmalades. This is a restful space to hang out in the shade, read a book or plan your next outing, and you’ll find a communal kitchen so you can rustle up snacks and cool your bottle of wine. Occasional dinners are offered in conjunction with a local restaurant.

Enjoy the big pool, the boules court, palm grove and bird-filled grounds or walk in 20 minutes to Benissa for plenty of restaurants, shops and art galleries. Two good beaches are just a 15-minute drive, as is the junction of the motorway.

Location

The neighbourhood

Walks from the house are through undulating countryside with agricultural terracing, olive trees and vineyards – also a paradise for cyclists and Stefan can advise. Benissa is an ancient, very attractive town with a particularly strong cultural life, plenty of art galleries and restaurants and a train station. Beaches at Cala Fustera and Moraira are 15 mins, Alicante one hour, Valencia 1.5 hours.

Local points of interest from Kristien Franck

  • You can fully unwind at Finca de la Pansa, translated as 'farmhouse of the raisins'. Around 1900, this traditional riurau was used to dry grapes into raisins, a typical activity in the Marina Alta region where we are located.
  • The wines of the Costa Blanca range from traditional Spanish varieties such as Moscatel, Tempranillo, and Monastrell to international grape varieties. Wineries like Pepe Mendoza in Lliber and Montesanco in Teulada welcome you for a tour and tasting.
  • On a regular basis, we organize a BBQ, paella night or a light dinner. All guests can use the honesty bar by the pool. Customized meals are available upon request for recreational cyclists or groups.
  • The region around Benissa treats you to a varied landscape, from coastal roads to mountainous routes, with the most popular climb being the Coll de Rates with its breathtaking views. We are happy to assist you with renting high-quality road bikes.
  • The Costa Blanca has a rich cultural background, historical cities and picturesque villages, festivals, beautiful museums, and local traditions. Local celebrations, such as the famous Moros y Cristianos, bring colorful processions and festivities.
  • Explore Benissa's historic center with the Cathedral of La Marina, the charming streets and squares, or head towards the coast or the mountainous inland. Whether you're interested in beaches, nature, sports, history, or culture, the region has it all.
